Phil works with companies that are in states of transition-companies that need the wisdom of an experienced executive and the energy to get things done quickly. Serving as a business advisor, he devotes his time and skills to achieve set objectives. Phil's expertise ranges from executive coaching and meeting facilitation to identifying decision-making processes and creating organizational designs.
Phil has over twenty years of experience as a corporate executive officer. Prior to founding Holberton Group, Inc. he was vice president of finance and CFO for Cambridge NeuroScience and General Cinema Theatres. Serving in these positions, Phil coached fellow executives as well as utilizing his financial acumen for establishing banking relationships; facilitating mergers and acquisitions; and leading equity, debt, and equipment financings. Since founding his firm, he has served as interim CFO for two public healthcare related companies. Throughout his career, he has been involved with financial transactions that exceed $600 million.
Phil serves on the executive board of the MIT Enterprise Forum of Cambridge and is currently the chairman of the MIT Enterprise Forum's 10-250 Committee. He is on the board of directors for Barbour Stockwell Incorporated and is a member of Franklin & Marshall College's Regional Advisory Council. Phil is an adjunct professor at Brandeis University (instructing the course "Leadership for Technical Professionals") and, as a member of the National Speakers Association, he often delivers keynote speeches to business groups and companies.
Phil is a Certified Public Accountant and completed the advanced management program "Managing the Information Services Resources" at Harvard Business School. A graduate of Franklin & Marshall College, Phil earned a bachelor's degree in Accounting.
